Shipping + Returns

I just placed my order. How long will it take to receive my tools?

  • We are a teeny tiny team and all of our tools are made by hand in our woodshop in STL, MO. Orders typically take 3-10 business days to process. Once processed, your order is expected (not guaranteed) to be delivered within 3-7 business days after it ships, depending on your shipping address. Packages are shipped via USPS or UPS and you will receive an automated email with your tracking number once your order ships. All in all, you should receive your order within 6-17 business days from the date you placed your order. 

Do you offer expedited shipping?

  • At this time, we are not able to offer expedited shipping. We offer flat rate shipping. All orders are shipped either USPS or UPS. Please see those costs below:

    • USA orders under 1 pound: $5

    • USA orders over 1 pound: $10

    • Canadian orders under 1.5 pounds: $15

    • Canadian orders over 1.5 pounds: $30

    • All other countries under 1.5 pounds: $45

    • All other countries over 1.5 pounds: $80

My tracking number says my package was delivered but I don’t see it!

  • For some unknown reason to us, USPS may label a package as ‘delivered’ prior to actually delivering it. Don’t panic! We usually see those packages delivered within a day or two. If not, please check with a neighbor who may have grabbed it for you or received it by mistake. If neither of those options resolve the issue, please reach out to us at help@garritytools.com within two weeks of the stated delivered date. Requests made outside of this window will not be honored.

Dang! I want to add or remove an item from my order. Can I update my order once it has been placed? 

  • Unfortunately, we cannot add or remove an item(s) from your order after it has been placed. If you need to make an edit, you will have to cancel your order and place another order. Please email us at help@garritytools.com to cancel your order. 

  • At this time, we also cannot combine shipments. If you have placed multiple orders then you will need to cancel all orders and place one order if you would like it to arrive together. Otherwise, your orders will ship separately.  

 

Oh no! I just placed an order but my shipping address is incorrect. What should I do?

  • If there is an error in your mailing address, please notify us ASAP at help@garritytools.com so we can edit the address before it ships. If your order has already been shipped, then we suggest reaching out to USPS or UPS to rectify the situation. We cannot refund or reship orders sent with incorrect shipping information that was provided by the customer. We HIGHLY recommend double checking your contact information prior to submitting your order. 

Hmm. My order was returned to you. Now what?

  • If your package was returned to us due to an incorrect, incomplete or otherwise mistyped mailing address that you entered at checkout, then you will need to re-pay the shipping fees in order for us to re-send your package to you. Please carefully double check that your mailing address and all of your contact information is correct before submitting your order. 

Oh no! What if I need to cancel my order?

  • Email us ASAP at help@garritytools.com to assist with canceling your order. Please note that if your order has already shipped, then we cannot cancel your order. If your order has shipped and you no longer want the products, you will need to initiate a return (please see instructions below). You will be responsible for return shipping fees. Please note that all international orders are final sale and cannot be returned. 

Bummer! There are damaged or defective items in my order. What should I do?

  • Our apologies! Please email us at help@garritytools.com and include a photo or video of the damaged product. We’ll make it right!

I received the wrong items. Now what?

  • We are so sorry for the error! Please send us an email to help@garritytools.com with a photo of the wrong items, and we’ll make it right! We’ll send you a pre-paid shipping label so you can return the incorrect goods. Once we receive the items back, we’ll send you the correct order. 

I changed my mind. How do I start a return or exchange?

  • Please reach out to us at help@garritytools.com to inquire about a return. All returns must be requested within 14 days of the delivery date and must be approved before items are shipped back to us. In your return request email, please include your order number, the items you wish to return, and a reason for the return. All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Original shipping costs are non-refundable. At this time, we do not offer exchanges. 

  • If a tool is part of a kit or set, then the entire kit or set will need to be returned. We cannot accept partial returns of these items.

  • All international orders are final sale. Due to the extremely high cost of shipping overseas, we cannot offer returns or exchanges from our international customers. Please be sure to double check your cart before checking out! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to send us an email prior to placing your order. 

When will I receive my refund on a return order?

  • Once items are returned to us and deemed in new condition, we will initiate a refund back to your original payment method. The time it takes for a refund to be credited back to your account depends on your credit card company/ bank. However, we typically see refunds appear within 7-10 business days. Just a reminder, shipping fees are non-refundable. 

I have a question about the Tool-of-the-Month program. Where can I learn more?

Do you ship worldwide?

  • Yes, we ship worldwide….well as long as UPS can reach you! After the turmoil of shipping during a pandemic, we only ship UPS to international folks (Candians, we can  still ship USPS to you). Please note that international customers will have to pay additional duties/taxes to UPS in order for their items to clear customs. Please see the next question for more information. 

I’m an international customer, do I have to pay duties and taxes on my order?

  • Yes! Your shipping charges do not include the customs duties and taxes or brokerage fees that your country may charge. These additional fees are imposed by your country and it is your responsibility to pay those taxes and fees in order for your item to clear customs. UPS will reach out to collect these fees on your behalf. This is why it is important to include a phone number when you checkout. All international orders are final sale. No refunds will be provided in any circumstances. 

  • Another option is that you can purchase our tools from one of our wholesale partners. You can view our full stockist list here. 

I am an international customer and I’d like to make a return. Can I?

  • We are so sorry, but all international orders cannot be returned due to the high cost of shipping overseas. All international orders are final sale.
